Biz Skule Networking Speaker Series presents financial expert Dr. Dan Rosen

The next Biz Skule Series on September 27th features Dr. Dan Rosen, scientist and entrepreneur, co-founder and CEO of R2 Financial Technologies and adjunct professor of Mathematical Finance at the University of Toronto.

Throughout his career, Dr. Rosen has combined his passion for mathematics, financial engineering and entrepreneurship. He co-founded R2 in 2006 after spending over 10 years at Algorithmics in a variety of key positions in strategy, R&D and product design and development. R2, a leader in portfolio and risk analytics, was successfully acquired earlier this year by S&P Capital IQ.

An advisor on risk management to financial institutions around the world, Dr. Rosen and has authored numerous risk management and financial engineering publications and serves on the editorial board of several industrial and academic journals.

Dr. Rosen was inducted in 2010 as a fellow of the Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences for his "outstanding contributions to the Fields Institute, its programs, and to the Canadian mathematical community". He holds an M.A.Sc. (9T1) and Ph.D. (9T3) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto.
